"Betty" was born June 2, 1946 Norfolk, VA daughter of the Evelyn Simpson.
She was a retired waitress for Jimmy's Steakhouse, loved her children and grandchildren, had a passion for coffee and doughnut shops, she loved worshipping her Lord and was a member of the Paden City Church of God.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her uncle, Jack Roberts and an infant sister.
Surviving are her husband of forty-nine years, "Chuck" Tippins; three sons, "Chucky" Tippins of New Martinsville, WV, Jeffrey Tippins (Leanne Miller) and Jason Tippins (Teeney Holland) both of Portsmouth, VA; a daughter, "Chrissy" Tippins of New Martinsville, WV and four grandchildren, John Albertson, Tyler Tippins, Tara Tippins and Tabitha Tippins and a dear friend, Connie Roberts.
Friends received 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2013 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV where service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2013 with Rev. Adrian Cowgill officiating. Interment to follow Paden Memorial Gardens.
