Funeral services for Mary Lavonia Tilton Thompson, 48, of Pitkin were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006 in Occupy #2 Baptist Church in Pitkin the Rev. Michael Evans officiated. Burial followed in Occupy #2 Cemetery in Pitkin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale. Mrs. Thompson entered eternal rest on Saturday, Aug. 12 in Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Rocky Thompson; two sons, Rodney Thompson and Dusty Thompson and his wife Shirley; one daughter, Rhonda Stokes and husband Tyson, all of Pitkin; one brother, Irvin Tilton and his wife Kathy of DeRidder; three sisters, Donna Abel and husband Perry of Pitkin, Lena Boggs and husband Webster of Sugartown and Judy Ledford of College Station, Texas and two grandchildren, Kelsey Thompson and Joel Thompson, both of Pitkin.
