VARNA: Mildred R. Tidmarsh, 89, of 1920 W. Willow Knolls Road, Peoria, IL, formerly of Varna, died at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born November 29, 1913, in Varna to Frederick and Hattie Juers Nenne, she married Virgil R. Tidmarsh on February 24, 1937, in Varna. He died May 11, 1996.

She also was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Robert (and Sally) of Sarasota, FL; two daughters, Ruth Johnson of Honolulu and Rebecca (and Daryl) Klusendorf of Peoria; and three grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Varna, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and had taught Sunday school.

She also was a member of Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau. She had been a 4-H leader.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at her church. The Rev. Peter Block will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 today at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church.
