Ruth B. Tibbetts 89 passed away July 11, 2010. Born in Roanoke, Ill., she moved to St. Petersburg in 1952 from Greenville, SC. She was an elementary school teacher for 35 years. Ruth attended Illinois State University, Goshen and Wheaton Colleges, graduating from Bob Jones University. Locally she was a member of Starkey Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving children: Perry (Patti) Tibbetts and Kay Tibbetts Phillips; grandchildren: Robert, Jessica (Keven) and Joseph; great grandchildren: Sophia, Eres and Jaysin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 16 from 5 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. where the funeral service will take place Saturday, July 17 at 10 A.M. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
