Born in Halifax, England son of Binns and Alice Thorp.Came to US in 1912 and was naturalized in 1924. His mother and brother Albert also came to US at a later date. Wilfred married Sarah H Fenderson in 1915 and they had one child, Wilfred Jr, born in 1917.
