Joyce worked as a secretary for Marshall Wells in Duluth, International Refinery in Wrenshall, and Independent School District #100 in Wrenshall, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton and served as a religious education teacher for 8 years.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John Boily.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Stacy), David, Kenneth (Sharon), Alesandra, and Brenda (Ali) Boily-Salmanpour; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; one brother, Donald (Arlene) Thoreson; one sister, Lorraine Clancy; and several nieces and nephews.
