Joyce E. Boily, aged 86 of Wrenshall, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Sunnyside Health Care in Cloquet. She was born January 3, 1930 in Duluth, MN to Albert and Alma (Arnstead) Thoreson and graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1948.
Joyce worked as a secretary for Marshall Wells in Duluth, International Refinery in Wrenshall, and Independent School District #100 in Wrenshall, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton and served as a religious education teacher for 8 years.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John Boily.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Stacy), David, Kenneth (Sharon), Alesandra, and Brenda (Ali) Boily-Salmanpour; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; one brother, Donald (Arlene) Thoreson; one sister, Lorraine Clancy; and several nieces and nephews.
