Albert Thompson, 74, of North Las Vegas, passed away July 13, 2009. He was born May 31, 1935, in Byronville, Ga., the first born of Emma Lou and Tobe Thompson. Albert met the love of his life, Lucille while he was working on the Glenn Canyon Dam. At the time, Lucille was a school teacher on the Indian Reservation at Tuba City, Ariz. Albert and Lucille were united in marriage in 1961 and this union lasted until his death. He was a retired carpenter, a member of the Carpenter's Union and a 47-year resident of Nevada. Albert is survived by his wife, Lucille Thompson; stepson, Preston Dagon of North Las Vegas; brothers, William Thompson of Wierton, W.Va., and Irving Thompson of Stubenville, Ohio; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Park - Las Vegas.
