A native of Glendale, SC, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1925 and was a member of Emmas Grove Baptist Church, where she played the piano, was a member of the Ladies Bible Class, and a former Sunday School teacher. She was a 1940 graduate of Lee H Edwards High School.
Mrs Roseborough was a daughter of the late Carl Lloyd and Mary Sue McGraw Thompson and the wife of Robert Daffin Roseborough Sr, who died on March 8, 1995.
Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Jane Pittman of Shelby; sons, Robert D Roseborough Jr of Asheville and Carl James Roseborough of Candler; sister, Dorothy Hawkins of Leicester; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren with twin great grandchildren on the way.
