Edna Elvera Thomazin, the daughter of John C. and Millie (Nelson) Johnson was born September 20, 1907 in Genoa and died Friday, October 8, 1999 at Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward. She was 92 years of age.

She was baptized and confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa. Her family lived on a farm between Genoa and St. Edward and she attended Big Cut School District 12 in Nance County until the tenth grade. She graduated from Genoa High School in 1926.

In 1942, Mrs. Thomazin started working as the office manager for Consumer Public Power District for seven years and then Loup Power District in St. Edward for 30 years. February 12, 1950, she was united in marriage to Leonard A. Thomazin at his home in St. Edward. They continued to make their home in St. Edward. In July 1995, Mrs. Thomazin entred Cloverlodge Care Cener.

She is survived by three nieces, Mary Andreasen of Escondido, California, Frances Talacko and her husband, Frank, of Omaha, and Helen Long of Georgia; two nephews, Don Andreasen of Genoa, and Eldon Peterson and his wife, Doris, of Lincoln; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard; two sisters, Ethel Anderson and Eleanor Andreasen; a brother, Lawrence Johnson; and two nephews, Gregor Andreasen and Lynn Andreasen.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 1999 at Miller-Levander Funeral Home in St. Edward Rev. David Collins conducted the servie. Irene Jenkins served as organist and special music was by Donald and Dolores Benson. Musical selections were "Nearer Still Nearer" and "Amazing Grace."

Casket bearers were Jerry Talacko, Harold Nielson, Lanny Rasmussen, David Andreasen, Steve Andreasen and Robert Christensen. Burial was in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in rural St. Edward.
