Deena Denise (Thomason) Johnson, age 48, of El Dorado Springs, MO. passed away February 25, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was born October 14, 1967, to Max Thomason and Linda (West-Thomason) Lumley. She was baptized as a teenager at the Freewill Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs. She was born and raised in El Dorado Springs and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1986.

Except for eight years living in California, Deena worked many jobs in the El Dorado Springs area and made many friends that loved her and still do. She worked at several convenience stores (including Fastrip, Jumpstop, Pittstop, and Casey's) until her health failed in the last couple of years.

Recently she made her home with her daughter and grandchildren, and she loved them dearly.

In 1968 her step-father, Bob Lumley, came into her life and helped raise her as his own. Between 1970 and 1980 her half siblings were born, Darin, Karen, Jason, and Terri.

In 1991 she married Lloyd Johnson, Sr. and to this union two children were born, Lloyd Johnson Jr. and Amanda Johnson. This marriage later ended in divorce. She raised her children on her own and provided for them as best as she could. Her children were her world and she loved them dearly. She also loved and was so proud of her five grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents; three uncles; and three aunts on her maternal side; grandmother on her paternal side; and step-father on her maternal side.

She is survived by her father, Max Thomason and sisters, Shelli, Mitzi, and Amy; her mother, Linda (West) Lumley; children, Lloyd Johnson Jr. of Michigan and Amanda Johnson of El Dorado Springs; five grandchildren, Hannah, Derek, Natalie, Hayden, and Landon; four siblings, Darin Lumley of North Dakota and Jason Lumley, Karen Berten and Terri Jadlot of El Dorado Springs; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deena will be loved and missed so much by all.
