Age 83, of Elsmere, DE, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011.

Tom was born in Marcus Hook, PA. He was the son of Italian immigrants, Camillo and Anna Antrilli Francisco. He was a 1946 graduate of Eddystone High School, and served with the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

He owned Fairfield Variety Store in Newark, DE, from 1973 until he retired in 1990. He was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Church in Elsmere. He was also a member of St. Anthony's and Defiance Clubs, where he enjoyed the company of his many friends.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Isabelle Hunter Francisco. He is also survived by his six children: William Hunter Francisco and his wife, Deborah; Donna Curtin and her husband, Bob; Janet Petuya and her husband, Don; James Francisco, all of Wilmington;

Jeanne Jones and her husband, John, of Portsmouth, NH; and Thomas Francisco and his wife, Deanna, of Middletown, DE; 13 grandchildren, Donald Francisco, Claire, Martha, and Rob Curtin, Adrienne, Eric, and Lauren Petuya; Nicole and Evan Jones; Danielle, Elise, and Tommy Francisco; and Dylan Campese; 2 great-granddaughters, Annabella Francisco and Emily Grace Lenz; his twin sister, Angeline Lundgren, of Aston, PA, and his sister, Theresa Wood, of Newark, DE. Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Dominic Francisco.

Relatives and friends may call at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Thurs., Dec. 1, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Corpus Christi R. C. Church, 907 New Road, Elsmere, DE, on Fri., Dec., 2, at 10:00 am. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Newark, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to Easter Seals Society of Delaware, Inc., Attn. Rosie, 61 Corporate Circle, New Castle, DE 19720, or to Corpus Christi Church, 907 New Road, Elsmere, DE 19805.
