Mrs. Cook, loving wife of John Carl Cook, Sr., passed away on Monday, June 18, 2007 at the Lexington Medical Center. Born November 10, 1929 in Lavonia, Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Dock Wilhite Thomas and Lora Frances Whiten Thomas. She had been an area resident since 1948 and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Her family was her life.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, John Carl Cook, Sr. of Cayce, are daughter, Jimmie Rebecca Cook Phillips of Spartanburg; sons and daughters-in-law, John Thomas Cook and his wife, Bonnie E., of Myrtle Beach, John Carl Cook, Jr., and his wife, Jeanie K., of North; grandchildren, Melissa Kay Compton, Thomas Ryan Cook and Michael Braden Cook; sister, Inez Thomas Terrell of Lavonia, GA; brother, Frank Thomas of Lavonia, GA.
