Mrs. Emma Thomas Bartholomew, 68, wife of Richard J. Bartholomew, of 29 South View St., died at the Meriden Hospital yesterday after a long illness.

Born in Meriden, Mrs. Bartholomew was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Appolonia Flechtner Thomas and had lived here all her life.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John DeMaria of this city; three sons, Leon T. and Robert A. Bartholomew, of Meriden, and Richard R. Bartholomew of Verona, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Horace Graham of Meriden; three brothers, Hugo and Max Thomas of East Hartford, and Oscar Thomas of Easton, Pa.; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home of John J. Ferry and Sons, 88 East Main St. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
