THOMAS, Nell Age 58, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, passed away Friday, July 17, 1998 at her home. Nell was born February 18, 1940 in Bellmont, North Carolina, the daughter of Luther and Letha (Sanders) Woods. She was united in marriage to Cleo Thomas on January 15, 1984 in Myrtle Creek. She had been a Myrtle Creek area resident for most of her adult life. She belonged to the Myrtle Creek Assembly of God. Nell enjoyed people, going to yard sales, and doing home crafts. She dearly loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She will be remembered as a giving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Cleo, her mother, Letha Woods, Myrtle Creek, two sons, Mike (Elaine) DeLaMater, Sandy, Oregon, Mark DeLaMater, Winston, a daughter, Sherry (Gene) Anderson, Tri-City, two stepdaughters Carolyn (Larry) Potter, Myrtle Creek, Susan (Terry) McClure, Millersville, Maryland. She is further survived by two sisters, Sally (Glen)Graham, Myrtle Creek, “Jo” Ann Graham, Myrtle Creek, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Woods, and a brother, Ray Woods. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 1998 at the Myrtle Creek Assembly of God. Pastor Tom Scalera will officiate. Burial will follow in the Myrtle Creek I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1:00 p.m. Until the time of services at the church on Tuesday. The MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME, Myrtle Creek, Oregon is serving the family.
