Anita J. Thielke, 82, of Suring died unexpectedly Friday, April 5, 2013 after a long illness with cancer. She was born in Coleman on November 6, 1930 to the late Lawrence and Doris (Klasen) Valitchka. She was a graduate of Coleman High School with the Class of 1948. Anita Valitchka married Arthur Thielke on October 15, 1949 at the former St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Coleman. Together they adopted and welcomed 3 children into their lives, Pam, Mike and Steve. They celebrated 58 years of marriage until Art's death in 2006. Anita worked at Stengel's Grocery Store in Suring for many years. In 1978 she went to work for Chrysler Corp. at the Coleman Products site until her retirement in 1991. She volunteered for many years at the Suring Meal Site, Suring Nursing Home and was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Suring.
Anita is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Douglas Pagel of Green Bay; two sons, Michael Thielke of Waupaca, and Steven Thielke (and special friend Vicki Spieker) of Lena; three grandchildren, Violet, Rose, and Shaey Thielke; sisters-in-law, Ramona Valitchka of Green Bay and Edith Thielke of Duluth, MN, brothers-in-law, Orbie Bodart of Green Bay and Leo Thielke of Suring.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Art Thielke on October 8, 2006; her parents, her brother, Virgil Valitchka; 3 sisters, Ione Levash, Betty Bodart and Mavis Valitchka; brothers-in-law, Lawrence, Clarence, George and Milton Thielke and brother in law, Harold Levash.
Burial in St. Michael Catholic Church Cemetery.
