She is listed as Mary Melissa on her gravestone for some reason. She is Melissa Mary in her obit as well as in the Riverview Cemetery index. I believe Melissa Mary is the right name so have left it as such in spite of her gravestone.

MRS. M. M. TERWILLIGER

Requiem mass for Mrs. Melissa Mary Terwilliger, 76, 5422 S.W. Rhone street, will be offered at St. Ignatius church Monday at 9:30 a.m., with interment in Riverview cemetery.

Recitation of the rosary will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Edward Holman & Son. Mrs. Terwilliger died Thursday at a local rest home. She was born January 25, 1879, in Bandon, coming to Portland 30 years ago.

She is survived by three children, Mrs. Margaret McCormick and Howard H. Nelson of Portland and Joh L Nelson of San Francisco; a granddaughter, Trevalee McCormick; a brother, Alec Kennedy, Seattle, and a sister, Mrs. Rose G. Dorval, Seattle.
