"Mrs. Mary M. Tennessen, 83, formerly of 527 Wisconsin St., died Friday at 10 p.m. at Mercy Hospital. She had been in ill health for one year.
"She was born in Oshkosh on March 4, 1876, daughter of Fred and Henrietta Sager. She was married in 1893 to Herman Furst, who died in 1917. In 1927, she was married to Henry Tennessen, who preceded her in death in 1940.
"From 1893 to 1927 she resided in New London before returning to Oshkosh. Mrs. Tennessen was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Rebekah and Royal Neighbors Lodges.
"Surviving are two sons, George Furst, Seymour, an[d] Chester Furst ,Waukegan, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. William Toepke, Waukegan, Ill.; one brother, Edward Sager, Kaukauna; one sister, Mrs. Sherman Justus, Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
"Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronald L. McDuffie, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Omro, officiating in the absence of the Rev. James A. Daum. Burial will be in Maple Creek Cemetery, New London.
"Friends may call at the funeral home from Sunday afternoon until the hour of services."
