On September 13th, 1918, M. J. Craig, on a voyage from Ayr to Belfast with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine UB-64 (Ernst Krieger), 7 miles NE1/2E of Black Head, Belfast Lough. 4 persons were lost:"
