John was previously married to Annie Gingrich in 1877. She died Mar. 13, 1878 of whooping cough at age 17, and their son Willie died Mar. 1, 1878 at two weeks of age also of whooping cough. Buried at M.E. Church on Rollins St, in Moberly, Mo. John was born on the high seas 2-4-1851. His father, a french immigration officer died enroute to the USA from Germany. His mother, Mary Lund Tegler then married Fred Tegler in Syracuse, N.Y.some time later. Fred Tegler immigrated to the U.S. from Germany Aug.of 1850.
