BUHL — Betty Teeter Smith, 54, of Tacoma, formerly of Buhl, died Thursday in a Tacoma hospital.
Born Oct. 22, 1927, in Ballard Mo., she came to Idaho with her parents in 1929 and graduated from the Buhl High school. She worked for the telephone company in Buhl until her marriage to Max Smith on Oct. 8, 1947, in Twin Falls. They lived on a farm in the Lucern area until 1968, when they moved to Tacoma, where she has since resided.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Carla Kern of Boise and Julie Hunsinger of Seattle, Wash.; her mother, Melba Teeter of Buhl; a sister, Gloria Chase of Lakeside, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her father.
