Alvera Jones
Alvera Jones, 79, passed away April 25, 1996 of natural causes.
Alvera was born July 17, 1916 in Firth, Idaho. She was the youngest child of John and Reena Teeples. She was raised in Idaho and after serving a mission to the central states was married to Leslie Jones (deceased) in the Salt Lake Temple on December 27, 1941. She was the mother of four children and was an avid genealogist. She served a second mission to Oakland, California with her husband.
Alvera was survived by her four children, Cheryl Skousen of Orem; Wynnette Greer of Provo; Nadine Fletcher of Santa Maria, California; and Jerry Jones of Kanab; and their companions; 26 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rachel Tenney.
The funeral will be Monday, April 29, 1996 at the Highland Park Ward, 2535 South Douglas Street (1360 East) at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held Sunday, Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 S. 200 East from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial: Salt Lake City Cemetery
