Mr. Charles Otis Tebeau
SPRINGFIELD - Mr. Charles Otis Tebeau, 91, died Sunday, August 3, 2008, at The Effingham County Extended Care Facility.

Mr. Tebeau was life long resident of Effingham County, was owner/operator of Otis Standard Oil service station in Springfield for 30 years, was a Veteran of World War 11 serving in the U.S. Army, a member of the American Legion Post 209 in Springfield and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, his son, George Richard, a daughter, Mary Eudell and son-in-law, Ron Kocher.

Survivors include four daughters Christine Kocher of Guyton, Beatrice Watts and Larson of Springfield, Linda Tebeau of Springfield and Marcia Sherrod and Mike of Springfield; A sister Sybil Adams of Greenwood, LA; a brother, Ernie Tebeau of Springfield, 11 grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren, special friends George and Clara Belle Freyermuth, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ben Wages chapel of Riggs Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Copeck officiating.

Interment in the Springfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions maybe given to the Georgia Chapter Arthritis Foundation, attention Lillian Smith, 1330 W. Peachtree St. N.W., Atlanta, Ga. 30309. or to the Effingham County Extended Care, 459 Hwy 119 S. Springfield, Ga. 31329 or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 353, Springfield, Ga. 31329.
