TRENTON - Theresa Taylor was born May 25, 1923 at Trenton to Isaac Holman Johnson and Bertha Myrtle Tolleson Johnson. She married Allen Benson Taylor on April 25, 1967 in Mesquite. She died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 87 at Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene.
Theresa was a graduate of Trenton High School. She was a longtime and faithful member of the West Shady Grove Baptist Church. She loved gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by husband, Allen Taylor of Trenton; daughter, Lynda Barnes and husband Roger of Abilene; three stepchildren, Allen Taylor Jr. of California, Tommy Taylor of Kaufman, Elizabeth Taylor of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Burns Cemetery in Trenton. Officiating the service will be Rev. Glen Murphy.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 12-1:30 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Whitewright.
