John R. Taylor, 82 of Greenwood, Mo. passed away on Sunday May 18, 2008 at his home. Services will be 3:00pm Wednesday May 21, 2008 at Langsford Funeral Home with visitation prior from 1:00-3:00. Burial in the Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lee's Summit Family Services or the charity of your choice. John delivered the Kansas City Star newspaper in Lee's Summit for 29 years. He was a volunteer fire man in Lee's Summit for many years. In the early mornings he would be the first to respond to the fire siren. Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home, children, Sherry Taylor Pape and husband Don, Jerry Taylor and Mary Taylor Hutchins and husband Steve all of Lee's Summit. Grandchildren, April and Dan Schreiber, Leah Pape, Jonathan and Zackery Hutchins and John Taylor. Two Great-grandchildren, Anna and Preston Schreiber.
