Donna Taylor Callister "Grandma Donna"

Heaven became one angel brighter on June 10, 1996, when Donna returned to her eternal home and earth will be forever blessed by the "76" years we've loved her as sister, mother, grandma, aunt, daughter, neighbor, and friend.

Born June 14, 1920 in Salt Lake City to Robert W. and Hannah M. "Lynn" Wright Taylor. Married Albert F. Tennant on June 24, 1939, deceased Sept. 1939. Married Donald D. Callister on June 10, 1941, marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died January 1983.

Active member of the LDS Church she shared her testimony throughout the years through her music as pianist and organist in Primary, Ward and Stake callings. Also served as Relief Society President, Stake Sports Director and many other positions. For her dedicated service as sponsor for the Calder Park D.U.P. Camp, she was the receipiant of the prestigious "Woman of Faith and Fortitude" award following her faithful 19 years of service. Donna enjoyed sharing her musical talents with weekly visits to Johannah's Nursing Home. An avid sports fan, when she was not participating, she was cheering.

Her unconditional love for family and friends will serve as an inspiration to us all, and her beautiful music will echo in our minds forever.

She is survived by her son, Donald R. (Vicki) Callister; daughters, Margie L. (Harold) McCown, Mary A. (Dan) Nester; sister, Alice (Earl) Groneman; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Tamara J. Barron, parents, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 13, 1996 at 12 Noon in the Central Park Ward, 2700 South 300 East. Friends may call Wednesday 7-9 p.m at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, and at the Ward Thursday 10:45-11:45 a.m.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
