Graveside service for Maggie Imogene Acker, 88, of Kaufman was to be Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 11:30 a.m. at the Boyd Cemetery. The Rev. Earl W. Aldridge of Gainesville and the Rev. Charles Goady of DeSoto were to officiate.
Acker died July 30, 2000, in Kaufman.
Born Nov. 10, 1911, in Ben Wheeler, she married David Ernest Acker on Oct. 17, 1927. She was a supportive pastor's wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Henry and Bessie Tatum.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty and husband Billy Eugene Hall of Mesquite; two grandsons, David Ernest Hall and wife Nancy of Dallas and Britton Lee Hall and wife Angie of Mesquite; seven great-grandchildren, Billy John and Tracy of Bedford, Olivia and Garrison of Dallas, and Robert, Brittany and David of Mesquite; three brothers and two sisters.
