CAROLYN JEAN TANNEHILL, 66 DAVIS - Carolyn Jean Tannehill, 66, of Davis died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center after a lingering illness. She was born in Central City, Ky., on Aug. 2, 1941, the daughter of the late Frank and Erma Grace of Louisville, Ky. A Chicago resident for many years, moved to Lake Summerset in 1992. She was an active member of Lake Summerset Gram's Club, and enjoyed Lake Summerset activities; golfing, bowling, traveling, boating and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include husband, Charles L. Tannehill; son, Charles L. Tannehill Jr.; daughter, Caryn S. Hernandez; sisters, Pat Nelson and Sue Neidig; and she was the proud grandmother of Ian, Erica, Jacob, Carolyn, Charlie and Kayla. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, in St. Mary Catholic Church, 602 W. Main, Durand, with Msgr. Eric Barr, pastor, officiating. Cremation rites to be accorded. Final resting place in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Durand. Arrangements by McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main St., Durand. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary/St. Patrick Church, Carolyn J. Tannehill Memorial Fund, 606 W. Main, Durand, IL 61024.
