William Tannahill was born in Franklin Co. New York which is just over the border from Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada where his parents lived. His parents were William Tannahill and Janette White. He was married to Lillian Rosalee Bowlsby on Dec 31, 1878 in Butler Co., Nebraska. They had 3 children, Amy Arvilla, Lydia Luella and Glen Ray. William and Lillian moved to California with his daughter, Amy and her family.
