Lola Bentley (Tannahill) Johnson, 84, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2005 in her home. Funeral services at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial in Camp Butler Cemetery, Riverton, IL.
Mrs. Johnson was born November 11, 1920 in Ashland, IL. She was the daughter of William Loren and Effie (Bentley) Tannahill. She married Laverne Johnson. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1985. Mrs. Johnson had previously worked for General Electric Company. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and Past President of the COOTIES, a dedicated member of VFW, donating much time and energy helping at the hall.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her niece Betty Riley and husband Merle of Geneseo, IL., nephew Howard DeGroot and wife Lillian of Jacksonville, IL., several great nieces and nephews.
