Mary was the first of her Tague family to emigrate to the United States. She traveled with an aunt and uncle (Savage) in 1872 from Scotland to the United States. They would settle in Youngstown, Ohio. The rest of Mary's family was to follow the next year but her father died and shortly after one of her brothers also died. The only ones to follow years later would be a neice and nephew.
In 1880, Mary would marry John Casey(1856-1929) in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio. They had four children together all born in Youngstown: Mary, John Raymond, Patrick and Teresa.
Mary died March 14, 1926 in Youngstown, Ohio and is laid to rest with her husband John Casey in Calvary Cemetery, 248 South Belle Vista Avenue, Youngstown, OH. 44509-2296
