Alex Syron, 65, of route 1, box 84, Sheridan, was electrocuted Wednesday afternoon when he contacted two electric wires on a private road about a mile from Wallace Bridge on highway 18, according to state police.

Syron was an employee of Willamina Logging company. The mishap occurred about 3:30 in the afternoon. Syron and a crew were engaged in hauling a donkey engine on a truck and trailer.
