GOLD HILL PIONEER DIES AT AGE OF 77
GOLD HILL, Oct. 11.-- Mrs. Sarah Symons, a resident of Gold Hill and Crown Point ravine for 53 years, died here today at the age of 77 years.
Mrs. Symons was a native of Cromwell, England, and the widow of Humphrey Symons, once a police officer of Virginia City who was killed in line of duty 45 years ago.
Mrs. Symons is survived by two sons, Harry and Humphrey, who were with her when the end came. Funeral services will be held Monday under the auspices of the Rebekah lodge of which she was the oldest member.
