PINE — Evelyn Sumrall Spears, 63, a resident of Pine died yesterday at Beverly Healthcare in Tylertown, MS. She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sharon Spears and Lester and Paula Spears, all of Franklinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Mike Thomas of Sandy Hook, MS; four brothers, Frank Sumrall of Montrose, CO, Donald W. and H. L. Sumrall, both of Pine and Gary D. Sumrall of Hackley; three sisters, Margaret Jenkins and Marlene Jordan, both of Pine, and Ester Lou Spears of Hackley; four grandchildren, Mike Spears, Amanda Jordan, Lynell Miley and Leann Thomas; and four great-grandchildren, Magen and Skyler Spears, and Dylan and Harlie Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Spears; her parents, Herbert and Hazel Lambert Sumrall; a brother, Dorman Sumrall; and two sisters, Mevelyn Hartzog Starnes and Carol Jean Warren.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton today from 6 p.m. until the service tomorrow at 2 p.m. Elds. Clyde Cooper and Doyle Ball will officiate. Interment will follow in the Nobles Cemetery.
