OBITUARIES – EDWARD F. SUMNER BAKERS MILLS – Services were held Tuesday for Edward F. Sumner, 53, of Edwards Hill Rd. who was pronounced dead on arrival May 3 at Glens Falls hospital. He had been found in his car near Stony Creek.
Born in Vermont, the son of the late William and Rose Sumner, he had lived in Bakers Mills for the past 12 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leah Sumner, a brother, John of Glens Falls; his step-father, Nathan Lethbridge of West Glens Falls; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ernest Hutchins of Bakers Mills; three step-sons, Duane Dunkley of Wevertown and Victor and Larry Dunkley of Bakers Mills, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Rev. Gilbert Clemons, pastor of the Wesleyan church, officiated.
Interment was in Bates cemetery, Johnsburg.
