She was born Dec. 6, 1937, in San Jose, the daughter of Louis and Catherine Pedigo Sublett. She married Dean Boyer on June 15, 1955, in Middletown. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Boyer was a homemaker.
She was a captain for Relay for Life since 1997. She was a member of Breast Cancer Support Group, American Legion Auxiliary Post 672 of Middletown, Le Femme Cabane 895 of 40&8 and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was affiliated with Middletown Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Dean Boyer of Middletown; a daughter, Sandy Mayer of Mount Pulaski; a son, Gary (Becky) Boyer of Middletown; a sister, Darlene (Jerry) Freeman of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Nicholas and Natalie Mayer of Mount Pulaski, Allen Boyer of Atlanta and Cory and Tosha Boyer of Middletown; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Services will be held there at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, with Allan Dean officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Logan County Breast Cancer Support Group or Hospice of Central Illinois.
