Gertrude Stubbleield Ledbetter, 103, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at University Nursing Center in Durant.

Funeral services were Sunday at Black Jack Cemetery in Vaughan. Burial followed under the diretion of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ledbetter was born June 30, 1806 in Yazoo County to Guy and Sally Luse Stubblefield. She was a homemaker and a member of Black Jack Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roe Ledbetter; brothers, Dale Stubblefield, Fort Stubblefield, Hudson Stubblefield and Dan Stubblefield; and a great-grancson, Justin Roe Ledbetter.

Survivors include son, Roland (Marion Ann) Ledbetter of Benton; four grandchildren, Dr. Leslie (Cynthia) Ledbetter, Terrell (Pam) Ledbetter, Nora (Bill) Pierce and Martha (Vince) Davis, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were her great-grandsons B. Ledbetter, Hunter Ledbetter, Spencer Pierce, Daniel Pierce, Gage Pierce and Storm Davis.
