Vera Romaine "Toots" Brink, 84, of Kittanning, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Kittanning Care Center. She was born April 22, 1926, in Kittanning, Armstrong County, the daughter of Arthur and Laura (Wingard) Stroupe. Romaine was a member of the First Methodist Church, Kittanning, and also a former member of the Mt. Union Reformed Church. She enjoyed needle point and drawing and had a passion for trying new things. Romaine will be best remembered for her zest for life and her love of meeting new people. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edwin and Lamont Stroupe; and a sister, Geraldine Craig. She will be deeply missed by her son, Tim Brink, of Kittanning; several nieces and nephews, Gerald Stroupe, Dan Stroupe and Leslie, Jack Stroupe and his wife, Roberta, Arthur Stroupe and his wife, Vicki, Beverly Walker and her husband, John; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the BAUER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ Cemetery, Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County. Arrangements are being handled by the BAUER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC
