ADDISON, NY | Rena D. Bonzo, 83, of 11 Ames St., Addison, NY, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Corning Hospital.
Born January 2, 1922 at Luthers Mills, PA, she was the daughter of Wallace and Della Bailey Strope.
A graduate of Troy, PA High School, she retired as a waitress. She was employed at the Stanton Hotel and Jimmy's Restaurant of Corning.
She married John H. Bonzo, August 7, 1941; he preceded her in death February 13, 1987. She is also preceded in death hy her daughter, Patricia Bonzo, her brother, Wallace Strope, and sisters, Lillian Crane and Hazel Estep.
She is survived by one son, Walter Lee and Peggy Bonzo of Beaver Dams, NY; her daughter Jo A. Bonzo of Addison, NY; grandchildren, Kelly Muir, John Bonzo and Tracy Bonzo, adopted grandchild, Aubrey Galusha, and great grandchildren, Nicholas, Arden, Jack and Lia, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Dunday, March 13, from 7 - 9PM at the H.P.Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St., Woodhull, NY, where funeral and committal services will be conducted on Monday at 11 AM.
The Rev. Sandra Olmsted will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Painted Post, NY.
