Nelda Lynn Cook, 67, of Germantown, passed away on September 17, 2013. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, and funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 20, at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Nelda and her husband were the former owners of Ball Radio in the Cooper Young Area and Cigar Depot in Germantown. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and in her spare time she enjoyed her grandchildren and gardening. Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gerald Cook; two sons, Kerry Cook (Lisa) of Arlington and Kelly Cook (Jelena) of Collierville; three grandchildren, Paige, John, and Michelle Cook; three sisters, Verlon Calvery, Jonnie Bobo, and Barbara Berryman; and three brothers, Earl, Tommy, and Bob Strickland.
