CLEOPHA STRENG 62 PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Cleopha Streng, 62, of 5312 Ferden Rd, Chesaning died at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw on Sunday, June 29, 1969. Funeral services were held at Maple Grove St. Michael Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rosary was said at O'Hare Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel officiated. Mrs. Streng was born in Hazelton Township in Shiawassee Co. October 3, 1906, the child of Joseph and Mary Birkmeier. She lived in Maple Grove Township all her life. On October 14, 1931, she married Arthur Streng in St. Michael Catholic Church. She was a member of Legion of Mary and St. Anne's Altar Society. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Ronald of Maple Grove Township; Larry of Clio and Michael of Chesanig; four daughters, Mrs. Donna Jean Black of Flushing, Mrs. Betty Ann Ruddy of Maple Grove, Mrs. Marie Crete of Essexville, and Miss Marilyn Streng at home; one sister, Mrs. Amelda Hebeler of Burt; four brothers, Kenneth LaVern, Aloyisius, and Maurice Birkmeier, all of New Lothrop, and 21 grandchildren.
