Carol Rose Butts, 75, Knightsville, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville. She was born Jan. 12, 1937, in Putnam County, as the daughter of Curtiss and Anna Bayer Strain.
She married Sherman R. Butts in Harmony, April 29, 1973. She was employed at GC Murphy Co., for several years as a sales clerk. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Elnora Jean Gates.
She is survived by her husband Sherman Butts, daughter Tracey Butts, Linton, sisters Doris Dickens, St. Cloud, Fla., and Lois McKinney, Knightsville, brothers Don Strain, Indianapolis, Gerald Strain, Brazil, and Richard Strain, Knightsville, and other extended family.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery.
