Howard Lee Stottlemyer, 70, Rt. 2, Elwood, died Tuesday morning in Mercy
Hospital after and extended illness. Born in Anderson, he was a retired farmer
and served in World War II in the Air Force. He was also a member of the
American Legion at Frankton.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a son Charles of Anderson; a stepdaughter,
Mrs. Roberta Jo Simons of Flint, Mich.; two stepsons, Phil Harvey of Fortville
and Oku Harvey of Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Beth Harrison and Mrs. Nida Hancock,
both of Anderson and Mrs. Nina Hite of Plymouth; eight grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home
with the Rev. Al Covell officiating. Burial will be at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery
in Fortville.
