Mrs. Nina Nelson, 53, Of Kingsburg, Is Summoned By Death
Kingsburg, Fresno County, October 25. Mrs. Nina Nelson, 53, the wife of Raymond E. Nelson, widely known poultry man died yesterday evening in the Selma Sanitarium. Death was due to pneumonia.
Mrs. Nelson's death occurred one week after the death of her father, C.J. Stone, who died last Monday. She attended the funeral services of her father Thursday afternoon although she was not feeling well. After an illness of a day her condition became worse and she was taken to the sanitarium Friday afternoon. Death occurred at 5:30 yesterday,
Mrs. Nelson took an active part in local civic and club affairs. She was a member of the Kingsbury Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had been active in church work for many years.
Mrs. Nelson came to Kingsburg with her parents in 1897. She attended grade school here and later was graduated from the Selma High School, there being no high school in Kingsburg at that time. She married Raymond Nelson in Kingsburg.
Mrs. Nelson leaves besides her husband, two sons, Claire Nelson and Everett Nelson of Kingsburg; four grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Hilma Stone; a sister, Mrs. Lily Nelson and four brothers, Fred Stone, John F. Stone and A.W. Stone of Kingsburg and Gabriel Stone, Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Ericson Parlors with Rev. F.A. Lindberg of the Kingsburg Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Kingsburg Cemetery.
