She along with her nine siblings grew up in Tooele after leaving Beaver, Utah, where she attended Tooele High School. Carol married Jack Conder on October 21, 1948. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Jack and Carol had three daughters and Carol dedicated her life to raising them. She worked at Hill Air Force Base for about four years and retired in 1990.
Carol enjoyed crocheting, fishing, listening to the Los Angeles Dodgers and watching the Utah Jazz and the University of Utah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Allen, Ralph and Steven and one sister, Bonnie Mercer.
She is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Mark) Fry of Oakley, Caroline (Paul) Twitchell of West Point and Marilyn (Randy) Simon of West Point, seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by brothers, Edward, Ronald, and Richard and sisters, Barbara Griffiths and Colleen McKay.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 11a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S 1900 W, Roy. A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 11th from 6-8 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.
Interment, Tooele City Cemetery.
