Kathryn Elizabeth Stevens Binkley, 81, of Clinton, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Windwood Health and Rehab Center in Clinton.

Born March 18, 1921, in Nashville, she was the daughter of Murray and Laura Wray Stevens, now both deceased.

Mrs. Binkley retired from Proffitt's Department Store, where she worked for about 20 years in the Women's Ready-To-Wear Department. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Her family said she was a talented seamstress and was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh Binkley; two sons, Donald H. Binkley and his wife, Yildiz, of Nashville, and Patrick W. Binkley and his wife, Ann, of Knoxville; and a daughter, Nancy Brown and her husband, Larry, of Knoxville.

She is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Pewett of Nashville and Peggy Moss and her husband, Harold, of Hendersonville; two sisters-in-law, Christine McGowan and her husband, Ben, of Nashville, and Mildred Biggs and her husband, Bob, of Ashland City; a brother-in-law, Billy Binkley and his wife, Martha, of Dickson; and four grandchildren, David Brown of Nashville and Kevin Brown, John Binkley and Joe Binkley, all of Knoxville.

The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Larry Dipboye officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 10088, Knoxville, TN 37939-9910.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
