Marguerite Graham, 99, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at ManorCare Health Services on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

She was born November 19, 1916 in Des Moines, daughter of Fred and Lydia Albert Sternberg.

She married John Graham February 3, 1943 in Des Moines. He died December 22, 1992.

She graduated from Des Moines East High School in 1935 and attended Drake University for 2 years.

She was secretary for 27 years at Waterloo Peoples Mutual Savings and Loan, retiring in 1988.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and belonged to Ruth Circle. She belonged to Metropolitan Choir and the Waterloo‑Cedar Falls Golf Assoc.

Survivors include her son: John (Karen) Graham, Fort Collins, CO; granddaughter: Nichole Burmaster, Denver, CO; grandson: Austen Graham, Ft. Collins, CO and former son in law: Allen Bacher, Morton Grove, IL.

She is preceded by: her husband, daughter, Jane Bacher, and brothers, Robert, Frederick, and Harold Sternberg.

"Marky moved to Waterloo in 1950 and enjoyed all that the city had to offer. She was a fun-loving person who will be dearly missed by her family and friends."

Services: 10:30 AM, Monday, June 13, 2016 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church
Visitation: for an hour before services at the church
