MR. JOHN G. STERLING JR.
John Garland Sterling Jr., 79, husband of the late Irene Outten Sterling and a resident of Cedarview, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Cedarview, he was the son of the late J. Garland Sterling Sr. and the late Evelyn Mason Sterling. He was a member of the Craddockville United Methodist Church, Pungoteague Ruritans, and Exmore Moose Lodge #683 Mr. Sterling is survived by three sons, Glenn P. Sterling and his wife Sherry of Cedarview, Jerry M. Sterling and his wife Diane of Accomac, and Robert M. Sterling of Cedarview, a brother, George B. "Bill" Sterling and his wife Anne of Cedarview; four grandchildren, Bryan Sterling and his wife Mary of Chesapeake Beach, Md., Brandon Sterling of Cedarview, Jordan and Laurel Sterling of Accomac; a great-granddaughter, Lena Irene Sterling of Chesapeake Beach; an aunt, Nadene Gladden of Exmore; and 12 nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth T. Armstrong and the Rev. Tammy Estep officiating. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Craddockville United Methodist Church, c/o Ann Davis, P.O. Box 38, Craddockville, VA 23341 or to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O.
