Ruth B. Steely Brenner, 84, died March 26, 1980, in Lafayette Home Hospital. Born in Round Grove, White County, she was a life-long resident of the Lafayette area. In 1937, she married Carl W. Brenner in Green Hill; he survives. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving with her husband are three step-sons, Norman Brenner, Lafayette; Gordon Brenner, Decatur, IL; and Melvin Brenner, Marshall, IL. Also surviving are three brothers, William Steely, Otterbein; Wilbur Steely and Harry Steely, both of Lafayette; and two sisters, Mrs. Francis Dilts, Brookston; and Mrs. Maude Hawkins, Lafayette.
