Lenora Steed Harrison, 86, died Thursday, Jan 9, 1997 at her home in Logan.
She was born July 3, 1910 in Auburn to Franklin Burton and Pearl Lehmberg Steed. She was the oldest of 11 children. As a young girl, she worked very hard on the farm and taking care of the younger children.
She married Leland Aldwin Harrison on June 30, 1928, at Paris, ID. They later divorced.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities. She especially loved going to the temple.
Throughout her life, she had a great desire to gain knowledge. She placed great emphasis on education and loved to read. Her memory and sense of humor were extraordinary. Many in her family have some of the beautiful handwork she did. everyone loved her special baked goods, which she shared freely. One thing she loved in particular were flowers, especially roses.
She bore and raised four children, making great sacrifices in their behalf. She is survived by one son Rex L. Harrison, Nibley; three daughters, Jan Neil Butterworth, Franklin, Christine smith and Marilyn Skabelund, all of Pocatello; 16 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren; three brothers and five sisters; Stanley Steed, Auburn Junior Steed Afton, James Steed Ogden, Myrtle weaver, Bountiful, June Nield, Afton, Virginia Moore, Winter WI, Lila Hunsaker, Smoot and Dolly Moore, San Bernardino, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents a grandson, three great grandchildren and two brothers.
