Beverly Stedman Barnes, age 69 died Saturday, April 22, 2000 in the arms of her loved ones. Courageous in life and in death and deeply loved by all who knew her she is mourned by her devoted husband of 53 yrs., Ernest Barnes, son, Robert Barnes (Delores), daughters, Kristine Morton (Wayne), Rhanda Bostrom (Ralph), Lyn Johns (Bill), Carol Cenci (Michael) and Karen Barnes; 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; and her sisters Darlene Anthony, Evelyn Bergseth, and Vivian Cannon. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 27th at 2:00 p.m. at the Hardage -Giddens Funeral Home at 5753 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, followed by a gathering at the home of Rhanda and Ralph Bostrom 551 Loring Avenue, Orange park.
How can I say "good-bye", when we've barely said "hello" and you haven't told me all, or more than I'd care to know?
How can I say "good-bye", when a lifetime is so short and we try to re-cap it all, 'tween trips to the nearest airport?
I cannot say "good-bye", somehow it just seems wrong, so when I leave you all, I will just say "so long".
And when the time goes by, on some future date, I'll say to you "hello" again, past the pearly gates.
